The conference will take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) which is centrally located within Birmingham, close to numerous high quality chain hotels and eateries. The ICC is very used to hosting national and international conferences and high profile events with appropriate security and safety considerations.
The oral presentations will be in the large Hall 1 lecture auditorium with the exhibition hall in the adjacent large Hall 3 for booth exhibitors and sponsors. The exhibition hall will also house the food and drink for the meeting breaks as well as the e-posters (until the final day) and will be transformed for the traditional TIAFT Gala Dinner on the final night. The ancillary meetings, Young Scientists Symposium and vendor seminars will be accommodated in the numerous other Halls all within the ICC space.
Birmingham is served by an international airport with direct and indirect flights from around the world (www.birminghamairport.co.uk). When arriving at the airport there is a train link to Birmingham city centre or taxi services. The recently re-developed Birmingham New Street station is the main central train station for the city and provides rapid train links across the UK and to London for access to the Eurostar (www.eurostar.com). Birmingham is also centrally connected to the UK’s motorway and road networks allowing direct access to the venue, city centre and hotels.
